State of the Child – Infant & Early Childhood Mental Health Summit
Our theme for this year’s Summit is: The Heart of Belonging
This is First 5 Mendocino’s Annual State of the Child Summit. It will be an interactive & inspiring conference for professionals in Mendocino County. The event will begin Thursday, May 11 at 8:00am until 3:30pm and will continue on Friday, May 12 at 8:30am until 2:30pm at the Ukiah Valley Conference Center.
You can register at our Eventbrite link.
From pregnancy to age 5, the most important thing for optimal development is the power of positive relationships. We are a community of many connections and great resilience. This conference will be about how we show up, how we build a culture of belonging, and ways we can strengthen the fabric of our community wellness.
Exciting Keynote Speakers and Interactive Workshops
Our 2-day Summit will include 3 Keynote Presenters – Dr. Tina Bryson, Dr. Robert Sege, and Gaelin Elmore – who have expansive experience in their personal lives and in the fields of Attachment Theory, Neuroscience, and Mental Health. In addition to their presentations, we will also provide interactive Yoga and Mindfulness workshops, and opportunities for Networking. Come ready to take away strategies and resources that will strengthen healthy attachments, find healing and growth from trauma, and move forward with resilience and hope.
For anyone interested in attending both days and looking for hotel accommodations, contact our office about discounted rates available.
Who is invited to come?
We’re grateful for the Title IV-E grant funds, which help us provide this Summit and are specifically allocated to providing training and support for professionals who work within Mendocino County organizations that work with foster youth and/or youth who are at-risk of entering the foster care system, which includes social workers, therapists, teachers, pediatricians, counselors, school administrators, etc. If you’re passionate about improving systems of care for children and families and want to be inspired in ways you can make a difference even for one child, we’d love to see you there!
